Every so often, you just have to do something different, and the technique for these paintings is completely different. I started by coating the paper so that it's not absorbent. Then I rolled out great gobs of paint so the whole sheet was covered. And, finally, I lifted out where I wanted the white to be. People walk right up to the paintings and say "it's not a watercolor!" But I painted them, so I know they are.
